Cognitanks

Welcome to Cognitanks, my work-in-progress AI tank battle simulator where you program the tanks and watch them fight. It's functional, rough around the edges, and ready for more content and some polish —lots of polish. I'm a systems-oriented creator who loves building deep, interconnected mechanics more than anything else. This is my first game, inspired by a few years of daydreaming about a 3D version of Bot Arena III. Everyone says start with something small... my ambition clearly had other plans.


Here is an overview of the general feeling I am going for:

You are one of the lucky few selected to join the Temporal League of Combat (TLC)—a mysterious, high-stakes tournament. The premise is simple: a hand-picked crew of tinkerers, engineers, and gearheads gets dropped into different eras of history, you get tank parts, and the opposition gets tank parts. Your job? Build, program, and battle your way through six increasingly intense leagues, each one ripped straight from a different point in time.

• Stone Age arena carved out of... stone
• Golden Age of Discovery, ports with creaking galleons on the horizon
• Dusty Wild West frontier towns
• Neon-lit 1980s arcade grids
• Present-day high-tech arenas
• A shimmering, uncertain future where the rules themselves begin to rewrite

(really only the stone age one is made currently.)

As you progress, new parts get unlocked and the story unfolds. Will you take the crown or suffer defeat? At the very least please try to impress the audience with a show.

This game  does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All files included are required for the game to function. It may trigger Windows Smartscreen but as this is just a hobby for me paying for code signing is an expense outside my current scope.

For WebGL my assumption would be running a physics game wouldn't work well but I could be wrong. I will have to make a real attempt at browser version at some point.
